Tosowoong Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

It’s a hyaluronic acid serum containing hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, with a mix of other humectants, antioxidants, emollients and skin conditioning agents.

What Does It Claim To Do?

Firstly, Tosowoong claims that its serum is “lightweight, silky, and fast-absorbing”. They also say that it is “ideal for all skin types".

That's because it works to "prevent moisture loss to keep skin hydrated from the inside out.”

What’s In It?

 Tosowoong's Aqua Ampoule contains:

"Water, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol isopentyldiol, butylene glycol, pvm/ma copolymer, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, sodium hyaluronate, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydrogenated lecithin, dextrin, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, arginine, calcium carbonate, panthenol, allantoin, disodium edta, betaine, ethylhexylglycerin."

Further, hyaluronic acid is capable of holding up to 1000 times its own weight in water. You might recognise it as the ingredient used in cosmetic dermal fillers, such as lip filler. 

True to its promise to deliver a hydration boost to the skin, the formula also contains panthenol. Firstly, this helps the skin retain moisture and function properly. Secondly, it works to strengthen the skin’s barrier and prevents moisture loss.

How Do You Use It?

This product can be applied multiple different ways.

1. Firstly, if using it as a serum, apply it after your cleanser, toner, and essence. Simply pat it into the skin using upward and outward motions until it is fully absorbed. Follow up with your regular moisturiser.
2. Secondly, you can also combine 1-2 drops of this into your moisturiser and then apply it to your face. This provides a rich layer of hydration that’s perfect for your nighttime routine.

What Does It Actually Do?

Now onto the meat and bones of our Tosowoong Hyaluronic Acid Serum review. Namely - does it work and what does it do! 

Firstly, we tried this ampoule out on a range of different team members, with oily, acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin.

After using this ampoule consistently in our daily routines we noticed:

1 Firstly, skin that’s more supple, hydrated and youthful looking

2 Secondly, an overall plumping effect

3 Finally, a reduction in redness (particularly in sensitive skin)

In a nutshell, this little ampoule supercharges your other skincare. It is very versatile because it can be used by itself or by combining it with other products.

Some of our favourite ways to get more bang for our buck was to use a drop of two with our other serums, facial oils, or moisturisers. This also kicks hydration levels up a few notches. The formula really comes into its own in dry environments and winter months.
