In 2022, STYLE STORY became an official member of 1% For The Planet.
This is an important global organization leading a network of businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who share the common belief that people have a responsibility to help protect our planet.
Every time you shop with STYLE STORY you help support our planet. That's because we donate a portion of the revenue from your purchase to environmental charities. In 2023, our two charities are the WWF and Great Barrier Reef Foundation.
WWF Adopt a Koala Program
Koalas are heading for extinction unless urgent action is taken. They desperately need our help to survive.
From deadly disease to catastrophic wildfires, floods, and rampant deforestation - koalas have been hit from all angles. Koala populations are on a very slippery slope towards extinction by 2050 in eastern Australia.
There's no time to lose.
STYLE STORY chose to symbolically adopt a koala to help turn this tragedy around. Our donation will go towards protecting koalas against deadly Chlamydia that’s decimating their populations and upscale wildlife hospitals to ensure koalas can receive the care they need, as well as protecting and restoring their forest homes.
The second charity receiving our donation this year is the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. They do essential work around the reef, planting coral fragments to encourage fresh coral. In June, they carried out their biggest coral gardening day on the Whitsundays, planting 6,726 coral fragment.
This year, our donation towards the "Plant a Coral" annual appeal will directly assist the Foundation's Coral IVF project during the annual mass coral spawning in November in the Whitsundays.
The Foundation anticipates dispersing around 25M coral babies onto degraded reefs. They will then monitor and track settlement.
