7 Skincare Resolutions for 2024
As the year progresses and things start to slow down, we thought it was the perfect time to offer some (guilt-free) resolutions you might like to try.
Here are some of the most fun, important and easiest tricks to try to get your skin on track in 2024:
If you spent too much time in the sun in your younger years (very easy to do in a country like Australia) or you are noticing a larger number of sunspots and pigmentation popping up with age, then this is a great and highly achievable skincare goal to set!
Ingredients that will become your new best friend include those with lightening and brightening properties including:
Try: Be Jelly Overnight Dream Serum (retinol) & White Truffle Souffle Serum (licorice)
There are lots of reasons why our skin's barrier can become compromised but once this happens it's important to repair it. This is the key to more glowing, healthy skin.
Our skin's barrier can become damaged for a number of reasons: over exposure to the sun, the use of harsh ingredients, over cleansing and even over exfoliating. When repairing barrier damage, it is important to use gentle products.
Try: Cherry Blossom Sleeping Mask, which now contains ectoin as a star ingredient (perfect for barrier repair) and White Truffle Souffle Serum
A fun way to shake up your skincare routine is to try products you’ve never used before. Here are some you might not have tried but will undoubtedly love!
This is not a call out for you to go and download Tik Tok (although we couldn’t blame you…. we are obsessed) but if you want to try some of the hottest skincare trends TikTok has some fun ones.
Some of our favourite viral beauty trends include Skin Cycling, Glazed Donut Skin (we love anything glazed… looking at your Jelly Ko Dewy Glaze Toner), and the Clean Girl Aesthetic.

Your skin's microbiome encompasses the flora that exists on your skin's surface. Millions of tiny microorganisms live in the superficial layers of our skin. Although they are mostly harmless when things go wrong it can result in fungal infections and skin irritations.
You can care for your skin's microbiome by eating a clean diet and drinking plenty of water. In addition, it's good to avoid harsh cleansers and toners.
Try opting for pH balanced cleansers and avoid toners with alcohol.

We are all at a different place on our skincare journey but once we hit our mid to late 20’s it’s not uncommon for people to start thinking about things they could do to combat the early signs of ageing.
Here at STYLE STORY, we are huge advocates of ageing gracefully and loving the skin you’re in. However, we also understand that we exude more confidence when we look and feel our best.
Educating yourself on ways in which you can target early signs of ageing can arm you with the knowledge to move forward peacefully with your skin as you mature.
Firstly, and hopefully this surprises no one, our top tip is sunscreen. We also recommend learning which ingredients work for your skin.
As we all begin to focus on our environmental footprint and what we can each do to reduce our impact upon the Earth, more and more people are wanting to find refillable options for their skincare products.
Take a look at these refills of some of your favourite products!
From trying new skincare products to protecting your microbiome, these are just some fun ideas to get you thinking about skincare goals you might want to achieve in 2024.
