Unlike most Western BHA products, COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is formulated using betaine salicylate rather than the more common salicylic acid.
We love it because it's not as drying as other BHA products.
BHAs or Beta Hydroxy Acids work by “de-gunking” your pores.
Since BHAs are oil soluble, they penetrate through the oil that’s clogging your pores and exfoliate all of the dead skin cells that have built up inside. This is why BHAs are recommended for those with oily skin. BHAs also help reshape your pores, and allow your other skincare products to better penetrate your skin.
BHAs can assist with oily or blemish-prone skin and those who suffer from blackheads and white bumps.
COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid is based on willow bark water rather than plain water. Willow bark is a natural source of BHAs, which has exfoliant properties.
It also contains 4% betaine salicylate.
Do not use if: You are sensitive to betaine salicylate or anything else in the ingredients list.
For best results, combine with a low pH cleanser like Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash.

If it’s your first time using a BHA product, start off slowly, using the product once a week.
1 After cleansing (and after Vitamin C serum if you use one), apply a small amount of COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid to the target area morning or night.
2 Spread out an even amount to the rest of the face, avoiding the eye area.
3 Focusing on the target area with blackheads, massage lightly and allow full absorption.
4 For best results, wait 20-30 minutes before applying any other products to allow the acid to take effect without being prematurely neutralized.
NB. If you use COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid in the morning, make sure you apply sunscreen afterwards
