STYLE STORY is unique in the K-Beauty world, being an Aussie owned and operated business with team members on the ground across both Australia and Korea.

After establishing STYLE STORY in her home town of Brisbane, and building a small local team of women there, Lauren made the move to Seoul in 2016 to cement STYLE STORY’s relationships with its Korean suppliers. In order to research the trends, and stay on top of the latest K-Beauty news , Lauren spent several years learning the Korean language so that she would be able to communicate in Korean in order to get access to the latest brands.

Having a team in both Australia and Korea places STYLE STORY at the forefront of Korean Beauty – but it has not been without it’s challenges.

Lauren spoke to First 5000 about some of the challenges she has faced running a small business in two countries.
