AHC Private Real Eye Cream for Face Review

AHC Private Real Eye Cream for Face Review

So you've heard about the cult K-Beauty eye cream that you can use on your entire face? Today, I'm sharing my AHC Private Real Eye Cream for Face Review

What Is It?

AHC Private Real Eye Cream for Face

This luxurious eye cream is regarded as one of the best in Korea, a "국민아이크림" (or "the Nation's Eye Cream").

Regarded as one of the "essential skincare items" for many Korean celebs and models, it's infused with 8 types of peptides. Peptides in eye cream formulas are known to deliver proven results.

What Does It Do?

AHC eye cream claims to help minimise the appearance of dark, baggy eyes and inelastic skin. The brand says that with regular use Private Real Eye Cream for Face:

"...reduces the appearance of fine lines and improves the elasticity of the skin around your eyes."

Combining the concentrated nutrients normally found in eye creams, the formulation is supposed be used not just around the eyes, but on the entire face.

How Do You Use It?

I've found that AHC's eye cream can be used a few different ways:

  1. As an anti-ageing eye cream;
  2. As a deeply nourishing facial treatment;
  3. As a moisturiser.

As an eye cream, simply use your fingers to gently tap in under your eyes. Pat to aid absorption.

As a facial treatment, apply it uniformly across your entire face. It can also be applied to your neck and décolletage.

Otherwise, simply use it in the same way you'd use a moisturiser.

In terms of product order, I tried a couple of different ways of using it, including after essence and straight after cleansing. I felt like it worked best and sunk into my skin the best when applied after essence.

What Results Will You Notice From Using It?

With daily use, I noticed brighter, firmer skin.

Real Eye Cream claims to be an intensive antioxidant boost that strengthens and ensures skin elasticity. I can safely say that my under eye area definitely showed those results.

Unlike you might think of an eye cream formula, I didn't find that it was cloying, oily or heavy when applied to my entire face or neck either.

If you're suffering from fine lines around the eyes, a lack of vitality in your complexion or just general skin fatigue, then this is great addition to your skincare routine.

The key ingredients that are great to see in an eye cream formula includeNiacinamide, Collagen, Peptides andEvening Primrose Oil.

Peptides combine nutrition and moisture to fill the skin and give it a smooth, elastic appearance.

Niacinamide also known as vitamin B3, works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and a weakened surface.

Glycerin is a skin-replenishing and skin-restoring ingredient. It helps to establish normal balance and hydration. It’s one of the many substances in skin that maintain a healthy look and feel, defending against dryness and working to maintain skin’s moisture level.

Collagen Extract can improve skin elasticity, reduce visible lines, and increase flow to the skin.

Evening Primrose Oil can enhance the texture and elasticity of skin, addressing dryness, irritation, roughness and lines.

On the whole, this formula is designed to brighten, hydrate and firm up tired-looking skin.

Final Verdict?

It’s not often that you can use an eye cream that works just as effectively on the face without causing congestion and clogging your pores. That's because of how different eye cream formulas are to regular moisturisers. Usually, you'd expect to see milia or whiteheads pop up. But thankfully, that's not the case with this one.

With plenty of eye creams out there, what makes AHC’s eye cream different? In a nutshell, it's the potential for a streamlined routine.

With AHC’s Private Real Eye Cream for Face, you get the benefits of both an eye cream and facial moisturiser! It's not heavy or greasy on the skin. And the formula doesn't skip out on the hard hitting essentials you need to really see a difference in tired, saggy, baggy under eyes.
