Oh Se-hoon unveils vision for green, attractive urban spaces as he seeks reelection

• Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has unveiled his vision for Seoul, which includes promoting K-Beauty brands to the world and the "K-lifestyle" as a global standard for a healthy lifestyle. He believes this will be essential to improving the city's global competitiveness 
• He wants urban forests to cover at least 10% of the city.
• From 2023 Seoul will invest more than 100 billion won in small-and-medium-sized enterprises and startups in the fashion and beauty sector.
• Seoul will also set up a special development zone for beauty and fashion projects in Dongdaemun
• The mayor has said:  "Out of the four main axes that comprise the city's visions towards those in their 20s and 30s, the most important one is making the city feel romantic and attractive, and what completes that axis will be K-beauty"

 

K-Beauty Brands Feeling the Impact of China’s Lockdowns

• Some brands have been forced to temporarily close manufacturing plants as a result of China’s zero Covid strategy

• China has had continued lockdowns as a result of the COVID variants.

 

Singles Inferno is back for a second season

• Greenlight for Season 2 of the hit Korean reality dating series Single's Inferno.
• The premise of the show is that five men and five women are "trapped" on a deserted island and the only way to escape is to shack up with someone.
• The contestants that manage to hit it off with one another are whisked off to a Paradise island for a night
