These were some of our highlights in 2022:

 

Launching K-Beauty at Woolworths

In March 2022, we teamed up with Australia's largest supermarket, Woolworths, to launch their first ever online collection of Kbeauty products!

The grocery giant is now stocking a huge selection of K-beauty products.

Renowned for its meticulous formulations, layering philosophy and hydrating properties, a Korean skincare offering is now available to shop through Woolworths’ Everyday Market online store.

Fashion Journal reported: 


"As is often the case, Korean skincare was once almost impossible to find in Australia (I know from paying exorbitant fees in parcel forwarding). Style Story has brought a diverse collection of affordable, award-winning K-beauty products to our faces – and now our grocery baskets."

Jelly Ko's Third Product, Dewy Glaze Toner 

After 2 years in production our in-house brand Jelly Ko launched its 3rd product, Dewy Glaze Toner.

Promising dewy skin that looks like a glazed donut, this unique toner contains birch sap rather than water as the first ingredient. It hydrates, balances and preps skin from the first step after cleansing.

Dewy Glaze Toner has since sold out twice and has gone on to become one of the top 5 best-selling K-Beauty products in 2022.

We moved offices

After 3 years in our old office in Seoul, we made the move across town to Gangnam.

 Our Seoul team now work from home part-time, which not only helps reduce our carbon footprint but also encourages flexible working. This enabled us to move to a smaller office.

 

The Korean Beauty Show Hits A New Milestone 

In 2022, our podcast, the Korean Beauty Show, was downloaded hundreds of thousands of times around the world.

We now have listeners in over 142 countries, with the majority of our listeners coming from the USA, Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany and Malaysia. 

 

Lauren Becomes Guest K-Beauty Expert on Korean Radio 

Early in 2022, our founder Lauren Lee was invited to joineTBS eFM radio station in Korea as the resident K-Beauty expert. 

Her bi-weekly segment has covered everything from supplements, to hair trends, skincare tips and all the latest Korean beauty trends.

STYLE STORY Joined 1% For the Planet

As of 1 July 2022, we officially joined 1% For the Planet, pledging our commitment to donating at least 1% of our annual revenue to environmental nonprofits.

We also stepped up our initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint.

Jelly Ko Gets Its First Offline Stockist

Jelly Ko got its first offline stockiest, officially launching in the USA in New York City. The collection is now available at CO Bigelow, the oldest apothecary in America

STYLE STORY x K-Beauty Showbag  

The Royal Exhibition Shows are among the biggest social events on the calendar across each of the major cities in Australia. That's because they bring together Australians from both rural and urban areas alike.

Drawing annual crowds of over half a million people each, the Royal Exhibition Shows have expanded from their roots as an agricultural showcase. They are not only a great way for rural dwellers to experience city life but urban dwellers to experience the best of the bush!

The STYLE STORY K-Beauty Showbag was the perfect way for beauty lovers to experience Korean beauty products, and also for experienced K-Beauty fans to refresh their routines.

The Showbags featured some of our most popular Korean skin care products, as well as new favorites that have just been released, like Mary & May's Vegan Cica Toner

Jelly Ko launched its 4th product, Cinnamon Toast Sugar Scrub Foam

We love sugary cinnamon treats, so we made one for our skin too! Say hello to Jelly Ko Cinnamon Toast Sugar Scrub Foam (100g).

Cinnamon Toast Sugar Scrub Foam starts out as a scrub, but when mixed with water and gently massaged into the skin transforms into a regular foam cleanser

That means you can use it both ways.

If you prefer to use it as a foam cleanser, simply dissolve and melt the sugar crystals in your hands first, and then apply the foam leftover to your face.
