Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash has been described by famed K-Beauty blog Jude Chao (Fifty Shades of Snail) as "pretty much the most perfect cleanser I’ve ever found for my face."
Dissolve the granules in your hand to form a soft foam, which you can apply to your face to gently cleanse without irritation.
WHY WE LOVE IT
With an ideal pH of 5.5, it cleans skin thoroughly, leaving no residue behind, so that our faces look and feel perfectly fresh and clean. Tosowoong Enzyme Wash doesn't strip skin of oil, dry it out or otherwise compromise its protective barrier.
Contains star beauty ingredients Vitamin E and papaya enzyme, which softens skin
STAR INGREDIENTS
Tosowoong Cleanser contains:
Papain - a mild enzyme exfoliant derived from papayas - helps soften your skin to make it silky smooth.
Vitamin E - an antioxidant and skin-conditioning active.
Licorice extracts - help balance uneven skin tone.
WHY IS THE pH LEVEL OF A FACE WASH SO IMPORTANT?
If a face wash is not pH balanced (i.e. is too alkaline), it weakens the structure of your skin's acid mantle. With your acid mantle weakened, skin is prone to attack. Ceramides, lipids and happy fatty acids can all be damaged and bacteria allowed to breed. This is bad news for those of us with acne-prone skin and roseacea, as these conditions can be exacerbated by using an unbalanced cleansing foam.
Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash protects your skin as you wash your face.
The product is great as a second cleanser. It foams easily, rinses well and leaves the skin soft with no film. A little goes a long way which is fortunate because if you're anything like me you'll end up with a broken lid and half the product in your vanity and the other half on the bathroom floor. The lid is very thin and super flimsy, and once it's broken there's no easy way to store the product. Will not purchase again purely based off the lid design.
Hi Kira, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on Tosoowong's Enzyme Powder Wash. It's the first time we've ever heard of someone having an issue with the lid breaking but we're very sorry to hear this was the case for you! STYLE STORY

Not good
I thought this product would be a good exfoliant, but it just has large grainy bits that seem to disintegrate immediately upon contact with water. Then it lathers like it's got a ton of detergent in it. I hoped it might be a bit like Dermalogica's powder exfoliant - it's not.
Hi there! Thanks for your review. This product is not supposed to be an exfoliant - it's a daily cleanser, which is why the powder granules dissolve when you apply water to them.

Love it
I really like this product. The little crystals massage and exfoliate while cleansing. A little goes a long way! My only small issue is with my extremely sensitive skin, it seems to irritate it a bit...I am a bit red for a few days after so this may be a weekly only wash.
Hi Candece - So glad you're enjoying Tosowoong's Enzyme Powder Wash! For an even gentler cleanse, try exfoliating all the powders on your hands first and then apply the foam to your face. We've found this the best option for sensitive skin as it's even less abrasive - STYLE STORY

10/10 would recommend
I fell in love with this power wash from the first cleanse - massaging the grains into foam on my skin really felt like it was working its magic. My skin feels soft and supple for the first time in a while; I'll definitely be coming back to buy this wash again.
So glad you're loving Tosowoong's Enzyme Wash! It's one of our favourite Korean cleansers for soft skin - STYLE STORY

Works too well?
The powder grains are coarser than anticipated but dissolves easily into foam. Has a faint washing powder smell. Afterwards, skin feels very soft and clean but have noticed I am starting to break out around the jawline. Hoping this is only a temporary phase as my skin adjusts.
Thanks for reviewing Tosowoong's powder wash. For an even smoother cleanse, we recommend dissolving the powder grains in your hands first and then applying the foam directly to your face. Hope this helps - STYLE STORY
