Korean Eye Creams I Love
Let’s keep this in mind from the outset. Reasonable things you can expect from your eye cream include a reduction in dark circles, puffiness, crepiness and fine lines.
Depending on the product, skincare needs time before you start seeing visible results, and eye creams are no different. As a general rule, eye creams take about four to six weeks to start showing their goodness
It can be tempting to slather eye creams on nice and thick. More equals better results, right? Not really.
Putting on too much can overdo your oil balances and lead to pesky things like milia. Some people recommend applying eye cream twice a day (morning and night). I would say this would be a personal choice and also highly dependent on what other products you’re using, and your skin type. I can definitely see some skin types benefitting from this and others finding that this causes makeup to slip around or milia to build up.
UV is one of the biggest environmental culprits that can accelerate aging. If you’re not using a sunscreen with the right amount of SPF protection, no amount of eye cream will help.
One of the best ways to slow down aging is one that doesn’t even need a huge skincare routine. Getting the right amount of sleep for you is the original skincare game changer – your routine is the cherry on top.
Even if you’re using a great eye cream, there isn’t an eye cream that can turn back time. If you’re concerned about how the skin around your eyes is looking and the eye creams just aren’t cutting it, it’s always best to check with dermatologist for other options.
Skin aging is contingent on your skin care routine and genetics. The younger you start showing bags and puffiness, the great the likelihood that genetics are involved.
However, bags and dark circles can also appear because of inflammation. This cab be triggered by UV exposure from the sun, free radical oxidation, stress, fatigue, and allergies. If that's the case, massage can help with fluid buildup.
Remember - eye creams cannot replace facial volume loss, so if this is an issue you’ll need more than an eye cream to help. The same goes for really deep set wrinkles. Eye cream is unlikely to help.
This can be a problem for people using thicker types of products to remove waterproof mascara. In the course of the removal, an oily matter remains left behind on your skin.
If the product doesn’t wash away properly then it wont be possible for the active ingredients in your eye cream to do the task that they are supposed to be doing. My preferred method of removing stubborn eye makeup is the double cleanse method.
Make sure you are applying your skincare products based on thickness or texture. If your eye cream is richer and heavier than your moisturiser, it should go on top. Applying products that are too rich early on your routine may mean that the products you apply after them aren't able to properly absorb.
To get the full benefits of your eye cream, it’s best to use it while your skin is damp. That’s because applying a cream to wet or damp skin can help lock in hydration, keeping it soft and moisturised. The Korean skincare routine is perfect for this because it is all about applying light layers to ensure adequate hydration.
