6 REASONS WHY YOUR ACNE PRODUCTS AREN’T WORKING

Here are 6 reasons why your acne products aren’t working…
1) You’re cleansing too often.
It’s an old wives tale that acne is caused by a dirty face. This simply isn’t true. If you’ve been reaching for the cleanser too often chances are you’re doing more harm than good.
Washing your face too frequently, has a negative impact on your skin’s natural pH balance. Cleansing too often not only leads to stripping the skin of its natural oils that protect it. Doing so makes your oil glands overcompensate by making…you guessed it – more oil!
The fix: Stick to cleansing twice a day – once before your day begins and once as it ends.

5) You’re ignoring your diet.
Everybody has heard the saying ‘you are what you eat’ that said, while it is rarely the sole cause of acne. Acne can be triggered by a number of external factors and diet is one of them. Being aware of what suits your body and what doesn’t is an excellent way to prevent breakouts. Acne often crops up after we have consumed junk food (think anything that’s deep fried or rich in sugar or salt).
