And how to choose the right one for your business
Most people assume that if they fly to Korea for a beauty trade show, they’ll come back with suppliers, ideas and momentum.
In reality, a lot of beauty and wellness industry professionals leave with a vague sense of what’s trending but no clear next step on how to actually drive their business forward based on what they've seen in the market.
Korea has one of the most active trade show calendars in beauty: Cosmobeauty, In-Cosmetics, Seoul Indie Beauty Show, InterCHARM Korea, K-Beauty Expo and many more.
If you don’t go in knowing what to expect and with a clear strategy, it’s very easy to waste time, budget and energy.
A Korea trip can look productive on paper without actually moving your business forward.
You can walk a show floor for hours, collect brochures, have conversations and still come home without a usable supplier shortlist or next step.
How? Maybe you attended the wrong event. Or you attended the right event but without a real plan in place. Maybe you didn’t know which conversations actually mattered, whether due to poor translation assistance or being helped by someone that simply didn't understand your business or your goals.
There's more to a successful trade trip than simply walking the stalls and having a translator tell you what someone else is saying to you, particularly if they don't understand how your businesses actually fit together.

Some events are better for packaging and OEM / ODM. Others are better for ingredients and formulation. Some are more useful for trends and market context.
The right show depends on what you are actually trying to achieve.
Best for broad industry exposure and early-stage discovery. Useful if you're still exploring categories or want a wide view of the market.
Best for ingredients, actives and formulation. Ideal for product developers, chemists and brands focused on technical innovation.
Best for commercial connections, distributors and broader business conversations.
Best for market visibility, trends and category insight rather than highly targeted sourcing.

Start with your goal, not the event name. Whether you're targeting ingredients and formulation, packaging or OEM, trends or commercial growth you need to pick the right event for your business and your particular stage of growth. There's no use attending an ingredient expo if you're not at a place where you can meaningful work with the ingredient manufacturers, for example.
You need to start with a core objective and then plan your meetings in advance. Understand who will be attending, how they fit with your business' goals and objectives and who you need in place to get the most out of your time in Korea.
We help you decide which expos to attend, how to approach them strategically, who to meet and what to prioritise based on your goals.
Decide which expo makes sense before committing time and budget.
