There's a New Luxury K-Beauty Brand in Town
- L'Oréal has announced the launch of Shihyo, a brand they are calling "new luxury K-Beauty"
- The brand is inspired by "the Asian wisdom of the 24 seasons" and is powered by 24 herbal ingredients "harvested at their seasonal peak"
- The brand will launch its first flagship store at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul
4 New Cosmetic Ingredients from Jeju Island
- Four new plant ingredients harvested and researched on Korea's Jeju Island have been listed in the International Cosmetics and Raw Materials (ICID).
- They are:
- Baby Camellia leaf stem extract
- Waterline stem extract
- Long-leaf ramie leaf stem extract;
- Arm hand leaf extract.
- They are effective in relieving skin irritation.
- A total of 22 new ingredients from Jeju Island have been added to the list since 2019.
