One of our lovely listeners asked:
As you might know I am a big fan of facial massage however I've never incorporated Gua Sha into my routine.
Luckily for us, Integrated Facialist April Brodie reached out to give our listener a few pointers:
Thank you so much to April for her tips!
If you're looking for some non-Gua Sha related pointers I did a podcast episode a few years ago onhow to do Korean facial massage.
I have used this product on and off for years to deal with the redness and inflammation caused by acne and pimples without drying out my skin.
It has a stellar ingredient list for dealing with blemishes. Stars include zinc oxide, Niacinamide, Tea Tree Leaf oil, Centella asiatica, Asiatocoside and Panthenol.
I incorporate this into my routine when I have pimples that don’t have a head (i.e. ones that are too small to put pimple patches on). I also use this after pimple patches have drawn out the gunk and the spot itself is flattened.
The only caution I would give is that this is a spot treatment so don’t slather it all over your face. It works best as a layer over a blemish.
Even though the pot itself is tiny the product lasts forever because you only need a little bit.
This is a historical war-action film written in part by famed Korean director Park Chan Wook.
It premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2024 and was released to Netflix shortly after. It tells the story of a slave who struggles to break free from slavery and his master, who he grew up very close to but became enemies with in a time of chaos.
