Lauren was recently interviewed by journalist Guan Yu Lim about the inspiration behind Jelly Ko’s first product, Bubble Tea Steam Cream.
Inspired by the beloved Asian drink, the moisturiser is designed to invoke a delicious cup of Bubble Tea, but for the face.
Lauren explained that the team’s goal was to create “an aesthetically pleasing texture” with a highly functional formula that would work for a variety of different skin types. Lauren is a K-Beauty expert with almost 10 years of experience in the Korean Beauty industry. She is also the host of the popular “The Korean Beauty Show Podcast“, which is downloaded in 96 countries across the world.
The brand’s Seoul team went to work with a leading group of cosmetic chemists to develop the formula for Bubble Tea Steam Cream, a process which took a year.
