Jelly Ko Featured in Cosmetics Design Asia
STYLE STORY was excited to see Founder Lauren and in-house brand Jelly Ko featured in Cosmetics Design Asia.
About the Feature
Lauren was recently interviewed by journalist Guan Yu Lim about the inspiration behind Jelly Ko’s first product, Bubble Tea Steam Cream.
Inspired by the beloved Asian drink, the moisturiser is designed to invoke a delicious cup of Bubble Tea, but for the face.
Lauren explained that the team’s goal was to create “an aesthetically pleasing texture” with a highly functional formula that would work for a variety of different skin types. Lauren is a K-Beauty expert with almost 10 years of experience in the Korean Beauty industry. She is also the host of the popular “The Korean Beauty Show Podcast“, which is downloaded in 96 countries across the world.
The brand’s Seoul team went to work with a leading group of cosmetic chemists to develop the formula for Bubble Tea Steam Cream, a process which took a year.
About Jelly Ko
Jelly Ko is a 100% Australian owned K-Beauty brand. The products are designed and produced in the home of beauty, South Korea. Korean Beauty products are estimated to be 12 years ahead of comparable western beauty products. They also have a much more reasonable price point than many local brands.
The brand’s concept is delicious skincare for the face.
Designed to create translucent and bouncy jelly skin, Jelly Ko creates skin that stays plump and soft to the touch – just like jelly! Jelly Ko’s launch product, Bubble Tea Steam Cream, was created in collaboration with Korea’s top cosmetic chemists. Inspired by bubble tea, it is a deliciously hydrating drink. The product is perfect for dull, dehydrated, dry, rough and lacklustre skin types.
If you feel like your ordinary moisturiser doesn’t sink into the skin, but just sits on top of it, or if you regularly wake up feeling like you haven’t applied moisturiser the night before then this is the product for you.
As a bonus, the product looks and smells just like Bubble Tea!
