Best Korean Skincare Products to Travel with!

Planning your escape?

Check out these travel-approved K-Beauty goodies that will guarantee glowing, healthy skin no matter where you end up!

When it comes to planning your holiday, you’ve got enough on you mind between choosing the perfect vacay spot, arranging the plane tickets, accommodation, checking your passport eight times and then getting to the airport five hours before you need to be there (thanks, Dad) – and that’s without mentioning everything else there is to get sorted!

With all the restrictions around liquids, aerosols and even powders in place at airports these days, it’s a good idea to only pack the essentials. We’ve combed through our K-Beauty favourites to find the best Korean skincare products to travel with.

Packing cosmetics into your cabin luggage is usually the best option if you’re flying long distance, as it means you can freshen up on your stopover, and you won’t be left in the lurch if your bag doesn’t arrive at your final destination at the same time as you do (which always seems to happen at the most inopportune times!)

If you do take liquids in your hand luggage, the containers must hold no more than 100ml, and be stored in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag. It may sound daunting, but we’ve found a combination of essential K-Beauty products and minis that will make packing your cabin luggage a sinch.

While it’s tempting to take everything you usually use in your skincare routine with you, this might mean you run out of room for other, more important things (like all your new purchases!) A simplified routine, or mini versions of your favourite skincare products is usually the best way to go.

If you don’t have time to decant them all yourself, here are some travel buddies that are ready to go:

Cleanser: April Skin Magic Stone (100g)

One of Korea’s fastest selling beauty products, this is no ordinary cleansing soap. April Skin’s all-natural foaming cleanser contains a blend of Korean herbal extracts to offer a deep cleanse that effectively removes dirt, makeup and more.

Toner: Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence Mini (5ml)

This is a cult-favourite Korean toner, which is formulated for all skin types and is designed to brighten skin, increase collagen production and target ageing – just what you want for Insta-worthy vacay shots!

Serum: Elizavecca Witchy Piggy Hell Pore Hyaluronic Acid Serum (50ml)

Packed full of hydrating hyaluronic acid, along with brightening niacinamide, this oil and moisture balancing serum will have your skin glowing with health on hols.

Spot Patches: COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches

Treat pesky pimples ASAP with these handy patches that target the root cause of blemishes and help prevent scarring. Best of all, they’re see-through so you won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

Lips: Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (Mini – 3g)

Perfect for long-haul flights and windy, dry conditions this soothing lip mask works overnight while you sleep so that you wake up to softer, plumper, more hydrated lips.

Day Cream: Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel (Mini – 5ml)

Perfect for skin that’s seen a little too much sun or is otherwise irritated, sensitive or stressed, it soothes and hydrates without using any alcohol or fragrances.

Eye Cream: Secret Key Starting Treatment Eye Cream (30g)

This nourishing eye cream works to prevent visible signs of ageing and wrinkles by keeping the sensitive skin around your eyes elastic and revitalised, meaning you’ll look rested even if you aren’t feeling it.

Pimple Cream: Ciracle Red Spot Cream (30ml)

Get rid of any red spots and acne scars that crop up on your trip as quickly as possible with this cult-favourite Korean Beauty blemish spot cream.

Sleeping Mask: Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (Mini – 3 g)

This intensive overnight mask delivers a moisture hit to sleep deprived, dehydrated and stressed skin to get it glowing, soft and smooth.

Of course, no holiday is complete without a relaxing face mask or two! Luckily most Korean sheet masks are approximately 25g in size, so you’ll have no trouble popping any of them in your cabin luggage, plus a few spares in your big suitcase just in case!
